Douglas Moody is a Senior Lecturer in the Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies (LALACS) program, in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese, and a lecturer in the Institute for Writing and Rhetoric. In addition to being the faculty advisor for CoFIRED, he is an affiliated faculty member in the Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies program, as well as the faculty advisor for the Nicaragua international service program that is administered by the Dartmouth Center for Service. In the LALACS program, Doug Moody teaches Latino Studies course and he also teaches a Latin American Studies course that precedes the service trip to Nicaragua that takes place every December. He does research on issues of international development and global health and he enjoys teaching in all of the departments and programs at Dartmouth College where he works, and which allow him to pursue his interests and to work with students through experiential learning opportunities.
